Secondary forces continue to help Alsindre in battle. It is seen as a major turning point in the war and the news of King Aruc’s injuries are quickly spread to the Imperial armies. -**742 A.R.** The Imperial armies had been successful in pushing back Alsindre’s march on the capital of [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Vizrand]]. Both armies began maneuvering towards cities to make camp in early Cold Reach. It was in a small village that [[:npc:Merin Alsindre]], secretly riding from his main army to a secondary force, was discovered by a small band of [[politics:MoonBlades]]. This heroic group assaulted the guards travelling with Merin and was able to capture him after suffering severe losses. Then, traveling by night and sneaking across the countryside, this small band delivered Merin Alsindre to the Empire. With Alsindre’s greatest general in chains, his son, [[:npc:Toryllin Alsindre]], would become the new leader of the armies that marched under their banner.

-**743 A.R.** In early Dawn’s Break, with the snows heavy upon the land, a three pronged force of Imperial Warriors set upon the resting army of [[:npc:Toryllin Alsindre]]. It is said the battle raged from dawn until dusk on that bloody day. In the end, nearly two thirds of the Imperial forces were destroyed, yet they claimed victory on the field and Toryllin lie dead in battle.

-**743 A.R.** The remaining forces under the Alsindre banner lay down their arms and the insurrection is officially over. The remaining forces of [[:ekandor:Melistrande]] retreat across the border and into the Conquered Territories around [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Karast]].

A peace treaty is signed with[[:npc: King Aruc The Third]] of Melistrande and the new Emperor quickly sets to establishing a firm power base for himself.

-**743 A.R.** __**The Ruling of the Golden Crane**__ This official Imperial document reveals the aftermath of the insurrection. [[:npc:Merin Alsindre]] is put to death in a grand spectacle. All remaining blood relatives of Alsindre are captured and under Imperial decree marched to the capital where //**The Week Of Blood**// takes places, slowly putting to death the entire family and ending the Alsindre line. By Imperial decree if any man woman or child is revealed to have Alsindre blood they are to be immediately put in chains and marched to the capital to be summarily executed. All Alsindre lands were confiscated and divvied up the loyal Houses of the Empire.

-The Heads of [[:politics:House Torshin]] and [[:politics:House Daridan]] are arrested and put to death during the Week Of Blood as both their Houses sided with Alsindre during the war. The Blood relatives of the House is stripped of their titles and lands, but are allowed to live on a small stipend.

-[[:politics:House Moringil]] lost two thirds of their lands during the war to the kingdom of [[:ekandor:Melistrande]].  Normally such a loss would reduce the Major House to a Minor Family but due to their great contributions in the war the Emperor sees fit only to reduce the House to a Minor House of the Empire.

-**772 A.R.** //**The First Incursion**//- A large force of Hobgoblins invade the Empire from the western Wyldlands. The fighting will be fierce and violent and last for several years.

-**774 A.R.** The First Incursion ends during GreenRain. The remaining Hobgoblin forces retreat into the Wyldlands. [[:politics:House Torsk]] is raised up from Minor House to Major House status for their unflinching loyalty to the Empire and hardships suffered from the Incursion.

-**778 A.R.** //**Year of the Broken Sighs**// The Empress decrees that the territories lost during the Insurrection to the Kingdom of [[:ekandor:Melistrande]] is a slight to the Empire and must be remedied. The Imperial armies are gathered and war is started as they march to restore the city of [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Karast]] and surrounding lands back to the Empire.

-**780 A.R.** King Aruc The Third, now in his later years as King of Melistrande, signs the __**Peace Treaty of Singing Rock**__. All lands that used to be part of the Empire and that is held in [[:ekandor:Melistrande]] hands is returned to the Empire. The Kingdoms armies retreat and settlers are allowed to stay, albeit under Imperial rule.

-**784 A.R.** //**Year Of Storms**// Second Incursion of the Wyldlands- This year is remembered as a particularly bloody one for the Empire. Wyld storms raged regularly from the Wyldlands during this tumultuous year. It is believed that with such great upheaval the denizens of the Wyldlands grew bold. In the North East a great Gnoll horde raged out of the Wyldlands and into [[:politics:House Noviri]]’s territory, while simultaneously a great Orc Horde came out of the Western Wyldlands to assault [[:politics:House Torsk]].

-**785 A.R.** The Gnolls of the North are finally put to rest and destroyed. All Imperial forces are quickly re-positioned and marched to the West to assist [[:politics:House Torsk]] in the defense of the Empire.

-**786 A.R.** During the //**Battle of Millers Creek**// the Great Orc Slaineye is killed. The Orcs quickly route from the battlefield. Over the next week several lesser Orcs declare themselves war chief at the same time. This causes a great raging battle amongst the Orcs themselves. When the battles are over the Orc horde is no longer a threat to the Empire and they retreat back into the Western Wyldlands. The Second Wyldlands Incursion is declared over.

-**787 A.R.** The Empire is surprised as the //**Third Incursion**// of the Western Wyldlands begins. The Orc tribes were somehow united by Deatheater, an Orc shaman. The Horde quickly surrounds [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Rikar]] and sieges the city, bottling up the armies of [[:politics:House Torsk]] and then they begin raging towards the heart of the Empire.

-**788 A.R.** Newly Installed [[:npc:King Luto The Sixth]] of Melistrande declares the Treaty of Singing Rock null and marches an army towards [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Karast]]. The Empire is too weak from multiple invasions to respond in kind and the armies of [[:Ekandor:Melistrande]] quickly retake the terrorizes they lost from the peace treaty.

-It is during this time that the remaining lands of [[:politics:House Moringil]] are seized by Melistrande. Although never removed from the Imperial Roster of Roses, historians believe that all of [[:politics:House Moringil]]’s descendants are killed during this time and the House fades into obscurity.

-**789 A.R.** The Third Incursion is ended. The Orc tribes become splintered and many are forced back into the wyldlands. The Imperial armies now all turn and march towards [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Karast]].

-**791 A.R.** A new peace accord is signed between the Empire and the Kingdom of Melistrande. Known as the __Treaty of the Splintered Tower__, it makes great concessions from both Kingdom and Empire. All lands south of the city of [[:Ekandor:Ilshandre:Leshstrand]] are now known as The Disputed Territory and are claimed by both Kingdom and Empire.

-**797 A.R.** [[:npc:Empress I’lshandre The Third]] dies. Her third son and only surviving heir becomes [[:npc:Emperor I’lshandre The Fourth]].

-**801 A.R.** [[npc:King Barraton the Bold]] of [[:ekandor:Isanvahlt]] calls for aid from the Empire. His own sons have raised banners and marched against each other and his throne in a civil war. The Empire marches in response to his call for aid.

-**803 A.R.** //**The Year of Tears**// Both of King Barraton's sons are slain during the year and their armies are splintered. The civil war is officially declared over. King Barraton holds a large festival in celebration and declares that the two countries will be united in friendship forever.

-**810 A.R.** [[:politics:House Valandrea]], due to several years of making poor economic choices becomes bankrupt. They area forces to sell the majority of their merchant fleet to remain solvent. This displeases the Emperor greatly, who then decrees that the House shall be removed from the Roster of Roses as a Major House and reduced to Minor House status.

-**814 A.R.** In just four short years [[:politics:House Kippingale]] a small family under [[:politics:House Valandrea]]’s banner, becomes a shipping magnate and economic powerhouse. Due to the honor they bring to the Empire the family is raised to Minor House status. They are viewed by many as rising stars in the Empire and if they play their cards right might become a Major House within the next century.
